It was early August and my plane to Tokyo was delayed three hours. I spent the whole three hours walking around carrying my backpack like a turtle. It was so heavy with all the stuff inside. This was my first time traveling alone. I got on the plane and started to watch the various movies and TV shows that the plane provided. It was not until 3 hours later that I realized that the plane have not even left the ground and the captain told us through the intercom that they needed to fix some stuff.
After an uncomfortable 12 hours of flight, I finally arrived in Toyo. However, because of the six-hour delay, I missed my transfer back to Taiwan. As I got out of the plane, someone explained to us what we’re going to do. He gave us a dinner and a breakfast coupon of Excel Tokyo Hotel and I received a free stay at this hotel. The hotel was next to the airport just like a house is next to a parking lot.
All the people that missed their flight arrived at the hotel and I dragged my luggage to the room I was staying. I put the card into the hole and unlocked the door. I went in. It was a small room but inside were two airplane passenger seats facing toward the windows. I quickly sat on it and I felt like I was riding a real plane. There were six hours before my flight and I thought I could enjoy myself. I took a nice war bath and watched TV. I didn’t have to worry about anything for six hours.
This event was very memorable to me because this is the first time I flew alone and my first time in Japan. A 24-hour ride turned out to be a 2-day trip.

COMMENT: Very nice simile. I like it.
-"It was not until 3 hours later that I realized that the plane have not even left the ground and the captain told us through the intercom that they needed to fix some stuff."
EDIT: "...that the plane had not even left..."
(I think that's how you correct it, I think I'm wrong though)
-nice story, pretty interesting, reminds me of the time I was stuck on a plane too.
"It was a small room but inside were two airplane passenger seats facing toward the windows. I quickly sat on it and I felt like I was riding a real plane."
ReplyDeleteI like how you descibed the room and how you felt about it.
"I quickly sat on it and I felt like I was riding a real plane. "
Yeah i know i just said I liked it but i think you do not have to use "I" so many times, so it would be like "I quickly sat on it and felt like I was riding a real plane."
Overall an interestiing story:D

Great way of summarizing the entire event.
"I took a nice war bath and watched TV."
Spelling error, "war" should be "warm"
Interesting experience, great essay

Even though this wasn't in the first line, it was still a nice hook since it was funny and grabbed my attention.
"This event was very memorable to me because this is the first time I flew alone and my first time in Japan."
"...this is the..." to "this was the"
Very interesting story, and nice similes.
