I interviewed my mom and her sentimental object was a car that my dad gave her a couple of years ago because she crashed into a tree the first day she drove it. My dad was of course very angry at my mom because it was a brand new car so this car became the sentimental object she could think of. Another sentimental object for her was a dress my grandpa gave her when she was in 8th grade because whenever she missed my grandpa, my mom would take it out and reflect back the memories she had with him.
Chinese New Year and Birthday are the meaningful traditions for my mom. Chinese New Year is very important because it’s the day where all our relatives are reunited and we have this tradition where everyone has to cook at least one dish and share with everyone. My mom likes the feeling of everyone united and she enjoys cooking specially when we all finish her dishes because she feels extra confident about her cooking skills! Every birthday for my mom is considered very meaningful because it means that we have lived in this world for 1 more year and should be grateful that we’re all gathered together healthily.

I think you could add more details into each category, that way it'd bring out more feelings and involvement in it. I really like how you write this interview, since its very casual and make me feel happy to know such warm and together family.

hmm... for future improvements, i think that you could have focused on one object and described it in more details.
Overall, I really enjoyed reading your essay! :) also, I like your last line, it's a simple sentence however very meaningful!! :)
