Andrew-sentinental object

After four years I returned to Taiwan from Canada, my grandmother gave me a charm of some sort. It was two pieces of yellow paper with some ancient language written on it. My parents told me that it is believed to bring good luck or a protection, to the owner or wearer. The whole family receives one of these charms from the eldest of the famiy at the beginning of the year, and everyone is expected to keep them safe for the entire year. My grandmother is a pious believer of Buddhism; she visits temples very often to pray for the entire family. She would memorize everyone’s address, and many other details, and during her prayer she would tell them to the gods and ask them to protect us. At the end of every year everyone in the family would burn their old charms and receive new ones from the eldest. This object is very important to me; it gives me mental support and comfort, especially important when I am depressed or unhappy.

Favorite Line: "My grandmother is a pious believer of Buddhism; she visits temples very often to pray for the entire family. "
I like this line because he uses a vocabulary word! :D It also shows that his grandmother is a really caring person

Improvement: "She would memorize everyone’s address, and many other details, and during her prayer she would tell them to the gods and ask them to protect us."
How i would change it: She memorizes everyone's address and little details about them. Then, she would include them during her prayers while she asks for blessings and protection.
This little object must mean a lot to you and you're grandmother is a really caring person. Make sure you thank her and spend time with her before it's too late!

  2. "It was two pieces of yellow paper with some ancient language written on it" I like this sentence because it shows that you really care about your grandma to describe the charm she gave you in detail.
You could improve on your paragraph structure
